1. Start With A Kit

These are all inclusive and will have the supplies and instructions you need to make a full piece. Rather than going out and buying all the individual items you need, this is a much easier way for a beginner to start!

2. Be Patient

Embroidery takes time, especially when you are just learning, your stitches may not be perfect at first but keep practicing!

3. Start Simple And Work Your Way Up

Practice stitches and make easy pieces to build your skills before you tackle complicated embroidery.

4. Get A Light Box

This is a device that lights up so you can trace your patterns easier. Trust me, standing in front of a window with your pattern and fabric taped to it gets old quick.

5. Don't Be Hard On Yourself

Embroidery takes years and years of practice! Be kind to yourself and don't compare your work to that of others or you may get easily discouraged.
